Quality product with very good easy to use App
I bought 4 x 280 Ah EVE cells and 1 x 200A JK-BMS from Cell Supply. On receiving the parcel in the afternoon I firstly checked the cells and they were all 100% the same voltage at 3.27v per cell. Also I checked the QR code and the date of manufacture in China was 21 November 2023 and it is in my hands already, showing that this is all brand new cells and was not sitting somewhere in a warehouse getting old and definitely not second life cells. I then connected it to a small inverter to get familiar with the BMS app and do some settings. Everything was well and the next morning before sunrise I connected it to my bigger inverter which was off for some time. I wanted to start early to get full charge from the solar panels and have enough time to test everything. Something went wrong and after hearing a noise from the BMS, everything shut down and no charging or discharging could be done. After 8 in the morning I phoned the supplier and after some discussion he offered to send me a new BMS even before I send the other one back. I did receive the new BMS and went through the same procedure and everything was working as it should be. Out of interest I tested to first one again and it was working 100%. After this I realised that the problem was with my inverter that there was load connected to it and it's capacitors were not charged. I think there was a inrush of current and the BMS Over Current Protection stepped in and shut down the system. It does take some time to reset and if I waited longer before phoning the company the reset of the BMS would be completed. It shows that the BMS is of high quality and mostly that the company stands by their product and will do anything within reason to help the customer getting his system running. With service like this I highly recommend dealing with Cell Supply and knowing they will stand by you.
